But like the voting at primary school for class captain..... winning a Labour leadership contest is not relevant anymore if you want to be PM.

The Labour Party are on the road to ruin in England and Wales.... the life support system is just about to be switched off in Scotland.

The LibDems look to be a better bet to oppose the Tory's grip on governing the UK.

If you want to defeat them, put up a credible leader and supporting team... one the public can trust, respect and vote for.

Corbyn, McDonnell and Abbott are a joke and you know it mate.

I'd say the activities of Sir Phillip Green, Mike Ashley are not a joke. And if you think the Tories, Liberals and UKIP are going to tackle the abuse of wealth..... now that really is funny.

You know all the stuff like the collapse of the stock market, mass unemployment and business going under if we voted to leave the EU. Well that's exactly what would happen if McDonnell came to power.

You think there won't be people who will abuse their position if Labour get in? Don't be so naive. It is too easy to blame everyone for the actions of the few.

Corbyn & McDonell have some great sound bites but actually being able to implement them? They are so use to protesting they have no idea how to actually do anything

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Well Labour need to start upping their game in Scotland because they need those seats to form a majority and I'm not sure who Labour represent in Scotland anymore.

Miliband tried the "us against the rich" strategy and got humiliated. When will Labour ever learn that they have to speak with aspiration to win, rather than bringing everyone to the lowest common denominator.

John Mcdonnell's speech today was pretty aspirational. I recommend you watch it or read it [Link] before making such uninformed (or anti Labour media) comments.

Note. Edited with the correct link!

Nice and patronising post.

I watched the speech and have looked into his economic plan. The "invest to grow" argument has been done to death and never voted in. That's because it either means huge levels of borrowing (which the public don't like) or it means tax rises (which they like even less).

It's government's job to create the conditions for innovation, not force it through state coercion and huge tax-and-spend. Don't do things like raise corporation tax, for example, unless you want businesses to not pay it or, worse, leave the country.

Well I'm sure Theresa May has suggested investing to grow in the past few weeks.

From the speech, "Good business doesn’t need no government. Good business needs good government. And the best governments today, right across the world, recognise that they need to support their economies because the way the world works is changing."

Less government the better, the minimum that is necessary.

The problem with Labour to a man(or women) they have never ran a bath let alone a business so have no real idea on creating wealth except by the tired old mantra of taxing the rich (the wealth creators)or ever more red tape & regulation which stifles entrepreneurship (which creates jobs)
