Credit to him for coming back from the kind of period out injured that finishes most. He must have a pair of stones on him. The reason I recall it’s December is so presumably he can look for another club iin the January window if we don’t renew. Also made sense for us iat the time hoping Ferguson was fit by now. If I was clyne I would want at least an 18 month contract, which is fine except parish isn’t the type of person to pay the salary of 3 left backs including Ward.

He's young and unproven of course, but if he can play in the middle then we've solved a problem position and can keep Ward and Clyne for the right back spot.
