I hope the opposite, to be honest. A bitter, disgruntled Wilf resorting to us because no one else of note wanted him. Great. Throw in his decrease in pace, increase in injuries and I was really hoping we could all move on from the pantomime.

But either way, glad to hear it should be sorted sooner rather than later.

I completely agree with Dazza. I thought it more likely Wilf would stay with his young family. I'm also hopeful that he will be more settled with the potential transfer situation behind him and we will see some of the old Wilf. I also think he has a lot to offer, as teams often double up on him, which frees up space for others. Once this is sorted, we can switch attention to getting a new striker.

I accept the possibility that Zaha may sign a new contract with Palace eventually.
However, I do remain curious if that is the case why he has not already signed it as his old contract has already expired.
I also note that there are ongoing stories that his representatives are continuing negotiations with Lazio amongst other clubs.
Perhaps these stories aren’t true or the people purporting to act for him are not authorised to do so.
All very curious and to my simple mind if his intention is to remain at Palace why not sign before the existing contract expired?
