My recent rants against Prem players I stand by, but not all players are bad of course...so who is the nicest / best Palace player you have met...and why ?

To start you off, current player for me is Dougie, lovely guy who enjoys wearing the red and blue, sent my son an autographed photo without us asking ..from the past Gareth Southgate, genuine bloke who took the trouble to hand write a letter to my daughter..who was aged 8 at the time ( err my daughter, not Gareth ) !

Phil Barber was quite a nice bloke, not a great footballer. For me it has to be Henry Houghton at the Palace though 'cause I think he was a bit mad actually. Paul Barron, (when he played for Welling United)was quite decent too. Funnily enough the biggest f***er though was Salad, which is surprising for a bible basher. What a jumped up little tosser he was too.

Whilst not a Palace player anymore, I too have got to go with Ade Akinbiyi. First met him on Soccer AM when he was still at Leicester and he was a top bloke - really taking an interest in how Palace were doing and what the First Division was like etc etc.

Then offered to buy us drinks afterwards! He also still remembered me and a couple of others from when we've met him since, including the Player of the Year Dinner Dance during the summer.

Out of the current ones, Tommy Black isn't too bad and Cedric never turns down the offer of shaking my hand...or wing!

Chris Coleman is a good bloke, always had time for the fans. Georgie Ndah is a good bloke as well. In fact all the Palace players that I have met have been fairly pleasant but I don't really see that many these days.

Nigel Martyn is really down to earth, modest with his achievements and to be honest a really shy guy that you can't help but like. Happy to talk to you.

I'd have to go for three players. AJ, Shaun Derry and Dele Adebola (when at Palace!!). Was working at the hotel they stayed at when they joined palace and from day 1, when they knew i was a palace fan, would always come and tell me what happened that day in training and any inside news or big news for the matches. Always use to offer to buy drinks for me and get me any tickets i wanted for palace matches in Player's Lounge.

They are Top Blokes!!!

Has to be Dele Adebola... He was the only Palace player to turn up on the Charity game and wish us good luck...

It's true about Ade. He is actually a top man who I was very disappointed it never worked out for him with us.

I was leaving the ground last year and he had come on as a sub that game after returning from injury. He was getting in his car and I shouted out to him and was more than happy to wait around and sign my mates programme. He was giving Wayne a lift and he was a stroppy git who ignored us and just got in the car sulking.

The best bit was that we asked for him to sign the prog and couldn't find a pen! He stated turning his car upside down for us to find one and he did!

I'm glad there are others who agree and we can say this now but lay off Ade. He always has time for supporters and is a genuine man. There are many men who have (and still do) wear the red and blue and they don't give a sh!t about us that are more succesful as Palace players. Look at Clinton Morrision!
