So, we have lost 6 from 11, but 5 of those were by a single goal and the 6th was by 2 against the inform team of the league at the time.

We have scored 16 goals, that is more than any other team outside the top 4.

But we have conceded 19, only 3 other teams have conceded more.

We were a little stupid against Burnley for sure, but also very unlucky. Hit the woodwork twice, and they had 2 pretty lucky goals.
I can think of 2 other games we were unlucky to lose.

We had 62% possession against Burnley, away. We had 45% possession against Liverpool, who tend to have more possession of the football against any team in the league barring Man Citeh. We had 55% possession at Leicester.
I know possession is not everything, but if you dont have the ball you cant score and if they dont have the ball they cant score(someone very famous said this).

Dann is not match fit, he is carrying an injury, we lost a great left back probably for the whole season(thank god it was not his life).

I hear people talk about spending a crud load of money in the summer, but we didnt. We sold and bought and spent about 10m more than we sold.

The results will come, we are being unlucky and a little stupid, things will change, we are not going anywhere but up.

Sure was frustrating today, but i hear the commentators today saying that Palace have been in the 2 most entertaining matches of the league this season, and despite losing, i am enjoying watching their games.

Get a grip.

Get a grip of what??.... The fact we've won 5 of our last 32 league games??

'The results will come, we are being unlucky'.... Blah blah blah... C'mon mate who are you trying to convince??... Yourself?

We've been been waiting for the results to come for nearly 12 months now and it's had nothing to do with luck. It's had more to do with being consistently quite poor.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

The 2016 stats in PL tells it all really. And after 3 losses on the trot, we pick ourselves after being 0-2 down. Instead of secure a valuable away point we go for a win and end up with nothing. Manager's fault!!! Hate to say it, but feels we need a change in the manager chair...

You are of course right.
The frustration is however boiling over and Pards needs to get some hard results or else he will eventually have to go.
We are playing well, but absolutely not in defense, the majority of us have faith in Pards (At the moment) so forget Man City, Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal, we need points on the board against all the others, 20 by the new year please, then we can sort out our defense in the transfer market.
If not Parish has another hard decision to make. For the time being we should support the team (And the Manager)as we always do. COYP

I'm sorry but yesterday was the catalyst for me for Pardew to turn things round, I have kept my feelings quiet but the stats don't lie.

There first yesterday was a complete joke how can you go from having a free kick to just allowing there breaking players to just walk through you like you weren't even there in just over a minutes play.

Now I know we had decent possession and there defence were like ours in our first season I know we are trying to play a new style of football and in spats I see it coming off but we don't have a solid defence to cope when it all breaks down, we don't have that technical minded pass and go and finding gaps, we try it but revert to passing back or punting from the back to Benteke (which is a complete waste of f***ing time)
When we need to be playing balls in along the ground (ala Whickams goal)

Puncheon, McArthur, Cabaye don't work together we need a defensive thinking mid which we had in Jedinak (albeit a bit clumsy) or Ledley (who has lost form)

We have good players who coached right and played to there ability would be a very good team that are hard to beat and pleasing on the eye but something or someone is sapping the enjoyment from the players and the fans alike and I'm afraid to say it's Parde.

I'm prepared to write the next game off (although boro did well) but sod it up against Swansea and Hull then I'm afraid it should be taxi for Al.

Yep, 20 by the end of the year was my target too, but can you honestly see us, defending the way we are, getting 9 out of the 12 points available against Southampton at home and Swansea, Hull and Watford away? Because I can't.

Pardew has his limitations, and at times you wonder where the necessary improvement is going to come from, but in his defence the out brigade are forgetting the amazing initial impact he had here and our form throughout the first of his two year. I agree with the outers that he has had long enough to build some squad depth but the likes of Mutch, Lee and Sakho are just not good enough. We need a quality versatile defender and an attacking midfielder who can make Punch, Wilf and Townsend fight for their places - Punch needs better competition than Lee for the 'number 10 spot so he can press for a place on the wing as well if someone like Lucas Lima is keeping him out of the side. When we went up the addition of Damo and Bolasie turned us from one of the worst sides in the champ into one of the best almost automatically - the right player in a key position doesn't just improve the team it improves the squad by providing competition for places - you need an extra player in def, mid and attack and in defence I'd say we are now actally short of players (esp full backs) - if we get 1 point or less from the Hull, Saints, Swans games then the outers may get their wish - but we need to give Pards one more window imho - we could really kick on after Jan.

Why is it, I preferred winning these types of matches when we had less possession?

I've got my grip - I prefer winning, but also realise we aren't going to be top 5 whatever formation we play but will get relegated by letting in more goals than we score. Its only entertaining for the neutrals / winning side, isn't it?

get a grip. Our statistics for this 2016 losing streak are shocking.

this would never happen under Pulis, Benitez, Allardyce or a number of other managers i can mention.
