A point away from home last night. But is it enough?

Difficult to tell. They were there for the taking which is the frustrating thing but we just looked toothless up front.

Normally yes but with their injuries, no. But then you need to look at groups of results with 3 top 6 clubs after Newcastle. Gulp.

It's often ok with a draw and ecstatic and so much further from danger and nearer the 40 with just 1 more goal and a win. But you have to look respect and appreciate Roy and other managers that respect the point as it's those points for our size that count so much come May.

There didn't seem much urgency to win in the 2nd half and also our goal came from them bizarrely pushing up too much from a goal kick.

The answer is we don't know. If by any chance we do go down you could probably look at a number of games where we might have got a win or a draw that might have saved us - Bournemouth with Bentekes missed penalty, losing at Burnley after dominating the game etc.

However, not losing is always good for morale.

If we beat Newcastle on Sunday i'd say 4 points from those two games are a good return.

WH's first 11 didn't look too ropey

Given their last two results with Liverpool and Arsenal, that point at Swansea now looks a good one.

But they were bottom at the time and had only won 1 of their previous 10 PL games.

WH did not look ropey at all last night despite their injuries. They also put 10 men behind the ball when we were attacking constantly for part of the second half. Moyes has set them up well defensively and probably also told them to go and kick us about a bit (which we do not cope well with) and in that respect we didn't get a lot of help from the ref.

I was reasonably pleased with the point regardless of the circumstances and see our 2 home games against Newcastle and Brighton as being the ones we need to attack all out to win.

Hopefully it won't go to the last game against WBA with us needing a win. There will be other opportunities to pick up away wins along the way and we might suprise a couple of the top 6 at home as well. Given the number of teams in the mix I am not overly worried about our chances of staying up.

Missed opportunity last night. We need to put a lot of daylight between us and the bottom 3 before our run of toughies otherwise we will back in the relegation zone again

True, but don't you think the Spammers are feeling the same way?

They might feel that with all their injuries a point was a decent result, especially as we had taken the lead.
Just shows the difference in the depth of squad between ourselves and W.Ham.

They had 11 on the field that looked pretty decent to me. Yes, deeper squad than ours without a doubt, but we have our own injury issues before and during the match and that is why a point away is not a bad result at all.
