I must have been watching a different game to many.
Man City are a wonderful team who dominate every game whoever they are playing.
However, aside from the Silva miss and the two shots against the post they did not really come that close.
Our keeper made a save you would expect him to make from a De Bruyne hooked volley and saved well from Mahrez but I believe an offside had been called anyway.
De Bruyne always looked threatening, but we kept Foden, Silva, Mahrez and Grealish fairly quiet.
Our concentration levels were excellent and Kouyate and Mitchell had possibly their best games of the season .
We had moments of fortune, but I do not accept it was a ‘lucky’ performance.
We created a number of half chances too.
Speaking of Kouyate , at the press conference afterwards Vieira opined that Kouyate could play for a few more seasons yet because of his physique and how he looks after himself.
If it’s up to Vieira he will be getting a new contract.

I think the expected goals, rounding up, was something like 3-1. There is no way Man City were 10 goals better than us. A ridiculous statement. We had 7 shots so maybe we could have scored 7 goals too?

Yes, had Man City won on the balance of play that would be expected but to say they totally out played us to score 10 goals is plain wrong. A well earned point and a sign that after letting in last minute goals this season our resilience is improving.

I think Gary Neville had it spot on, if we were playing Liverpool last night we would’ve been buried, because City don’t play with an out and out goal scorer. This is where Liverpool are stronger, they’ve always got a lethal front 3
