0 if we pay 4-3-3, however many we get i think we will be in the bottom 5, at best

That many??
Only joking (I hope)

Actually, I think we'll get 10 from those 9. I ought to say 10 from 10 because the 10th game is at the Emirates. A point a game will do us fine.

5 points wouldn't actually be that bad when you consider the opposition are probably clear favourites in many of those fixtures. It'd be great if we could get 8-10 points as that would put us in a fairly comfortable position for the run in. More than that and I might start to get dizzy. On current form it's hard not to think the worst.

Sadly I think we will struggle this season but if we do get 5 then with the current lead over Everton and West Ham of 7 points then that is just about ok. Personally I think 5 is ambitious maybe 4 and we do have a nasty run coming and how will we handle the following matches. Remember the bottom 3 are there for a reason and not all of those below us will catch us.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Chelsea = 0pts
Man Utd (H) = 0pts
Newcastle (H) = 1pts
Man Utd = 0pts
Brighton (H) = 1pts
Brentford = 1pts
Liverpool (H) = 0pts
Villa = 1pts
Man City (H) = 0pts

Honestly, it does look quite grim and I'd hope we'd turn one of those 1pts into 3pts, but it's quite desperate.

4pts in these upcoming 9 games, coupled with 7pts from 12 games (including Forest and Fulham) is beyond poor.

However, a few good results on the bounce spin it all around as always.

Tough times and Vieira is under pressure, so he must react and adapt or face the chop in 6 weeks or so if the above happens.

I'm gonna put a slight spin on it for optimistic purposes. Don't expect points versus Liverpool or City. I'm quite sure of that. Old Trafford result possible but certainly doable against Utd at home. I think we might nab a couple away wins against 'lower ranked' sides however for some retention of belief. Always prepare for worst vs Seaweed.

Chelsea ( A ) = 1pts
Man Utd ( H ) = 3pts

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

The crucial question is will another 18 points be won over the remaking 21 matches of the season to get to the ‘magic’ 40 points safety target? The next 9 games do look daunting at the moment, but should 5 points be the outcome it will leave 13 more needed from 12 matches. Surely this should be achievable with games against many of the weaker teams in that time - but it could be close. Then knowing Palace they could just as easily hit a purple patch and get to 40 points with games to spare and we will all wonder why we were worried, as has happened a few times in recent years

My gut feel is that teams will probably be OK with 36 Points & a decent goal difference - its been a long time since that wasn't enough -

8 points. Not an overly positive or negative assessment. We'll see.
