It appears Josh Harris (and his consortium) have reached an agreement to buy a team far more expensive than even Manchester United. He's about to drop £6.05 BILLION...

...while we, apparently, can't afford the likes of Conor Gallagher. So much for thinking a wealthy owner is the solution. We already have one.

I think we are looking for a wealthy owner with no sense, not looking for a return on their money.

No we don't as what we have is a wealthy minority shareholder which is a huge difference

Their lies the problem.

Palace could be owned by a consortium of Musk, Gates, Jed Clampett and Scrooge McDuck but FFP would stop them spending much. Like Man U can owe half a billion more than Palace got put into administration for different rules apply.

We don't generate enough match day income compared to most other clubs which is why a revamped stadium is essential.

As for Harris and Blitzer they have tried to sell their shares according to the media but no one is buying.

One more point

Sort of true.

If you are owned by these people and they are willing to pump money in the areas it would be done would be the likes of stadium.

None of this messing about like SP.

New ground and state of art training as well.

Ways around FFP this has been shown and you can inject loans into the club.

All those names you dropped as well would be spreading the clubs name on global scale as well this would generate more income (look what Ryan has done at Wrexham)

Another thing SP has not pushed (US owners yet not pushed to that market even a club shop over their)

IMO they're never going to invest in us because there isn't enough money to be made from Super League, Champs League, brand, merch, TV and all the other dogsh1t the global audience love.

Their interest in other clubs intimates we're their pilot project which has given them a seat at the table.

I don't disagree with what you're saying, but I think it misses the point. If Harris is worth over $5 billion individually and can lead a consortium paying $6 billion to acquire an NFL team then plainly he can afford to get us into the Champions League and reap the rewards of his investment in Palace when we do. Every investor knows that you have to put money in to get money out, hence the name "investor". We're not in the Champions League more or less because Harris doesn't want to be, not because he can't afford to take us there. As for his being a minority shareholder, so what? That's hardly a barrier to progressing the club; there are a myriad of ways that can be dealt with.

I'm no businessman so wouldn't have a clue but think that ultimately they probably wouldn't see the return quickly enough whereas maybe the plastics are a guarantee and have the potential to make even more in a Super League.

With regard to the Arabs I think they pretend to pay lip service to the business aspect but care more about instant return regarding their image and perceived "success" which most of us know is a load of bollocks.

A friend of mine is a hardcore Man City fan but has jacked his season ticket of many years in because he's got the hump with it all. When we turned them over he was almost pleased for us.
