Thought there would be some thread/comment on the punch that allegedly broke Lermas nose.Bit of a silly boy and wonder what outcry on the site if Eze had been punched by Lerma ?

If Lerma did indeed have a broken nose, why was he allowed to play the full 90 minutes despite NHS medical advice recommending immediately stopping exercise and physical activity for 2 weeks? Maybe VAR did get this one completely right.

It sort of looked accidently in as far as his arm was down by his side but it would he would have a lot more innocent if his fist was not clenched. I was worried looking at the slow motion replay at the time and thought it was 50/50 if he was going to be get a red.

Whoever was on VAR was clearly sleeping on Saturday. To miss this and Billings clear foul for a penalty on Wilf. My take on the Andersen incident was that he did throw a mini punch (I'd call it more of a shove with the fist as there was no follow through) but wasn't fully aware that Lerma's face was a low as it was and probably intended to make contact with the guys chest. I'd expect a red card 9 out of 10 times tbh... but so would I for that penalty. All in all the officials are not up to it.

We sit in the Whitehorse and was shocked to get home and find out about the punch, we just thought Lerma had collided with someone, Ayew in fact, because he was standing looking a bit sheepish, no idea about the punch at the time. What a decent little jab it was though, just a shame he couldn’t have done it to someone like JWP or Pickford, especially as he got away with it
