Hello, for my sins I manage my sons under 9's football team. AFC Chislehurst. our home ground is Cold Harbour lesuire centre. We train 2 times a week and are looking to increase this to 3.

We've gone from D division to C and have just been promoted to the B league in the Selkent.

Next season they will be playing as under 9's this means they go from 5 a side to 7 aside and we want to recruit some players. Ideally we are looking for B standard but if you're interested and you know your kid can play and they are not in a team then please DM me. The training is to a high standard.

Ideally we ware looking for 3-4 players one of which will be a goalkeeper.

Thanks for reading, please shoot any with questions.

Cheers, Mark

My sons team have just moved to afc Chislehurst. Under 14 next season though.

Good luck to you. Lot of work and headaches running a kids footy team.

Ahh brilliant Nick. Did they play in Blue and Yellow? I will look out for you mate.

I took it on as assistant and ended up being the manager! Yes it's not the easiest we have a lot of erm 'characters' my son included but their good players and the parents are friendly enough no idiots apart from myself!

Is that Tandridge league?

Sorry my boy is the year above, but we got to the Surrey Gold Cup 3rd v 4th final.

Used to manage myself.....it is the pushy mother's you need to watch for.

Ha! No Selkent League. The competitiveness of some patents is unbelievable. Yes we want to win but relax a little it's Sunday morning and their 8 year olds!

Are you sure your name is 'Mark' and not 'Frank de Boer'?

Good luck with the team. I've fond memories of the Chislehurst area.

Presumably your club has publicised via the borough's School Games Organisers who receive tax payer funded support x 3 days per week to actively promote community club links to schools? Have they been in contact with your club given that they've been on the go for at last three years? It's their job to make such connections and help further.

They did. Won the shield this year.

Tandridge league was a nightmare. One season played one week in Peckham, the next Dover. At half nine!

Hello, thanks for the information. No to all of the above any chance you can send me a link and does it matter that we are not a school? It's a non profit organisation though so all the money that goes in goes straight to the kids development. That's what attracted us to the club in the first place.
