Given this morning's news regarding the further isolation of Qatar from the international community due to its backing of Islamic State and al-Qaeda, could someone at EUFA, or preferably FIFA pull their head out of their a*r*s*e and put some proper arrangements in place for the 2022 World Cup. The initial award was totally corrupt, should never have been made, and now this. It will be 40 degrees plus, players will at risk, alcohol-free, with corrupt and bent authorities in charge. For the love of football - sort it out and do the right thing.

I'm struggling to find any argument against your proposition, Gribbs-ey!

Once Blatter et al were ousted, there should've been a re-vote. The Qatar tournament will be a disaster, but first they've got to get through the nightmare of racism and fan-violence that will be the Russia tournament.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

This article is from January but suggests that the worker conditions are truly atrocious and the death count could reach 4000 by the time it begins.

We should pull out on moral grounds, it's a f***ing disgrace.

i used to have respect for certain European nations, including ours, compared the USA when it comes to the almighty dollar.
Now it seems the dollar rules all.

such was your disdain for the american fixation with the 'almighty dollar' that you decided to take advantage of it and move to miami, among the most indulgent cities in america. hypocrisy at its finest

Please explain how you came by this gift of clairvoyance by which you somehow know that the reason this particular person lives in America has solely to do with maximising revenue?

Problem with moving it, is that no country really wants the world cup with only six years to prepare (read milk the public purse of that country).

The world cup isn't about making money from football. Its about making money from infrastructure projects, building and contracts etc and claiming you created 'loads of jobs' etc.

For Russia and Qatar, that's perfect. Russia is basically a money laundering system of government, and Qatar is a corrupt regime with a penchant for burning money on infrastructure projects as a means of 'laundering money' for investors (see Russians).

Let them host it. Feck it up and then maybe action will get taken to stop this ever happening again.
I can see a few countries actually pulling out.
