If he goes back and doesn’t play first team every week it will be madness and a great loss to football. Doubt they will sell him for whatever this raises but I could see another term here bringing him on. Connor needs some sound advice. There are a lot of people in football saying this.

I chuckled when I first read about this crowd funding initiative. It is so clear that fans of the club will go to extraordinary lengths to hang on to Conor. I love the guy, not just for his footballing skills, but for his bright, infectious personality. He's genuinely been a breath of fresh air. It is clear too that PV would like to have him on the permanent staff. There's little doubt that Mr Parish too would want to see CG as a Palace player so we have to rely on him, Dougie and some American money to seal the deal.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

There must be a couple of players we can let go to help fund any bid (according to these figures Clyne and Mateta between them are on £134,000 a week).

As much as I would like to keep Conor, do we not think Eze can slip into his role if/when Conor goes back to Chelsea? We haven't seen a fully fit Eze in PV's 433 system yet. Conor only plays well in an advanced role with Jimmy Mac/Hughes behind him (ie we dont lose the ball in midfield as much).

Tekkers has had 2 new contracts since the £120k deal was signed so will be on less now or at least a bigger % as a bonus rather than his set salary - signed during covid too when club was in a better negotiating position. Clyne's salary was based on his Liverpool one - probably half at Palace including a large bonus element. If Ward is on £35k that's a better guide.

Connor has a problem, if he goes back to Chelsea for next season, he has just a few months before the World Cup, if he is not playing on a regular basis for them, which is a possibility. he will not get into the England squad, solution is for his loan to be extended till at least after the World Cup
