It would be a huge gamble to see him as Townsend's replacement though. I would think it more likely that Lokilo would be seen as a youth alternative, but I think this would only happen if we are in serious financial trouble. Selling Townsend for less than £25m doesn't seem to really make sense to me given the inflated market.

Who says he will leave. Seeing conflicting reports of 18 to 23 million. Reports from Sun and Mirror both tabloids who report wrong stories about the Palace. I think and hope he stays.

Not saying he should change positions because I don’t think think he should or will. But my understanding is he played as a winger until only a couple seasons back. He’s shown great defensive responsibility so far, and hopefully in time he’ll show his attacking threat. Definitely our full back for years to come.
