Get yourself down Helens bar in Kilmackillogue county Kerry ASCP, pint of the black stuff 3.90 euro. Bit far from Galway for last orders, but it might start a trend! I drink in nearly the cheapest pub in town. 4.40 lager, 4.60 guinness. There is one that has guinness 4.50 and lager 4.10. I saw the piece in the Mirror about that pub. I'd say it's common enough in the countryside. Was in Cork recently, West Cork, and got Murphys for 3.60. I got two g & t's (missus and friend), two cokes for the kids and a pint for myself for 17 euro. Pretty good I thought. I'm more in the city these days (although you'd call it a town by English standards). I actually used to drink black and Tans, but used to call them Mickey Mouse, when I lived in the Midlands, England.
