Click bait now say Villa have matched the bid.
As I have said before I don't think we get involved in auctions my guess is we enquired a few days ago but withdraw once we saw that 3/4 other clubs are also interested.

I think this one still has legs Hull want a replacement and are interested in the loan of Rak-Sakyi. This will enable us to possibly do a deal with him moving to Hull on loan either on favourable terms to Hull (lower or zero Loan Fee and Wages subsidised by Palace) or loan with right to buy (set around £20 million)
None of the other suitors can offer this, Villa have buy out clause which they have excercised but he will not get much game time there .Ipswich he will get game time but may find himself back in Championship at end of next season. Everton have a new owner but how stable are they? and are they going to be near the relegation are again ?

Must admit, I'm not worried about this one bit, he scored that outrageous goal, but havent been blown away with highlights.
Think there are better options out there, Soule, Nusa, Gnoto etc

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

He'll face a lot of competition for places at Villa, but if they get a run in the CL there will no doubt be opportunities for game time. From Villa's perspective the deal was fairly reasonable, supposedly only costing them £13 million (which if true is a net cost of just £8 million given they sold him to Hull for £5 million). The only reason he would have chosen us over Villa is potentially more game time, and even that is not guaranteed.
