Mobile roaming in US

Im off to New York for a few days away and would like to know of a solution to using mobile data abroad. My provider THREE charge £50 to roam. My phone is unlocked. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience ? Tx.

This might be of help . . . [Link] I use a giffgaff payg & their £10 & above 'goody bags' you get 5gb of roaming included.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Yes it is possible to buy a PAYG SIM in NY, but what do you mean when you say you want 'European roaming' when you will be in the USA. Roaming is just....roaming.

Sorry, let me rephrase my answer. If it were me, I would buy a PAYG SIM once I get to NY, which is easy to do. 'Roaming' then isn't an issue as you will simply be a customer of the applicable US network for a few days.
