That link doesn't have the full post. Here it is: Chris Herbert Getting frustrated by some people expecting racism from me, because I got blown up. Here it is: Yes. A Muslim man blew me up, and I lost my leg. A Muslim man also lost his arm that day wearing a British Uniform. Contrary to that, Point is, f*** off. I know who I dislike, and I know who I dont. I know who I appreciate, and I know who I dont. If you want to hate an entire race of men and women for the actions of a few dickheads feel free, but don't push your views on me, thinking I am an easy target because one douchebag decided it was my day to die. Blaming all Muslims for the actions of groups like Daeshe and the Taliban, is like blaming all Christians for the actions of the KKK or Westboro Baptist Church.

Whilst the sentiment is fine, I am very sceptical as whether this sort of Facebook post is genuine. There are load of these floating around, all scripted similarly.

I Don't know if it happened or not, but I don't believe it just because it's posted on a social media site. How did he know that all the good people were Muslims? Did he ask them? "A Muslim doctor offered my Dad comfort and advice in a pub" because that's were you find a lot of Muslim tee totalers hanging out How do you know that all the bad people where not Muslim? Just because they were white and British? I believe most of these posts are just written to wind as many people up as possible. Unfortunately most people will believe these stories if it's what they want to hear. Plenty of bad people out there from all walks of life, But there is a hell of a lot more good people.

Whether is a genuine article or not - its basic message is true. There are good and bad amongst all races and religious groups. You must not demonise a group because of the actions of a few. Edited by rob1969 (10 Dec 2015 1.59pm)

If people bothered to read the BBC article the OP posted they would see that it is genuine. The story is also covered in the Mail: [Link] Independent: [Link] Mirror: [Link] US Weekly: [Link] And many other media outlets, as a simple google would have revealed. Amazing how something which doesn't fit people's preconceptions can be dismissed so flippantly, in the face of evidence which is readily and widely available. And, for the record, I have attended many social events in pubs with Muslims. Just because they don't drink alcohol doesn't mean they can't or won't go in a pub. Edited by Seth (10 Dec 2015 1.56pm)

I get that Matt but this was easily checkable and would appear to be genuine, given the number of reputable media sources covering it and interviewing the ex-soldier involved. Of course a lot of stuff on social media is complete b*llocks but this one is, I believe, true.
