I can never understand why we want to curtail Americans, Canadians, New Zealanders, South Africans or Australians from entering the country. Same culture, language, likes etc. Yet flood the country with Non English speaking countries with little interest in our culture & our traditions. I guess that s Diversity for you? Pro USA & Israel

I can never understand why we want to curtail Americans, Canadians, New Zealanders, South Africans or Australians from entering the country. Same culture, language, likes etc. Yet flood the country with Non English speaking countries with little interest in our culture & our traditions. I guess that s Diversity for you?

Because successive governments have wanted to turn Britain into a toilet, that's why. Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

The rule does kind of make sense. You don't want to import workers here on an average income if there's no specific skills gap in that area, anyone on average or lower incomes would not contribute a great deal in tax and may need government support. We already have a flood of EU migrant workers here doing lower paid jobs. The rule does kind of make sense.

You don't want to import workers here on an average income if there's no specific skills gap in that area, anyone on average or lower incomes would not contribute a great deal in tax and may need government support. We already have a flood of EU migrant workers here doing lower paid jobs.

I think if someone has been here for many years and is settled then they should make exceptions

Indeed. I wonder given the choice without any money issues or visa requirements. How many people on here would adopt to go and live permanently in Saudi Arabia, pakistan or The Yemen (Unless you were from these ethnic backgrounds of course) I'm willing to bet my last shekel none (or at best very few)would. Most would choose NZ, Canada, Australia, the USA & certain parts of Europe. And yet people from completely different cultures & a lot of them openly despising The West choose to move here.....
