John Virgo has a new one out. I know he comes across like a boring sod but it's actually a really good read.

I used to read a lot of cricket autobiographies but they were all anodyne so haven't bothered for a few years. Interesting cricketing characters like Nasser Hussain and Shane Warne could have told interesting stories but didn't. I might buy Steve Harmison's book that's just come out as I think that it'd been written with a bit of passion

I read half of Botham's a while ago. No reason to not finish it.

Did you read Marcus Trescothick's? Yes. His book and that of Graham Thorpe were the two exceptions as both dealt extensively with personal issues rather than just how well they batted. Incidentally I went to a cricketing lunch a couple of years ago and sat next to Marcus Trescothick. What an incredibly nice and down to earth bloke he was too
