I think Loftus Cheek should be played up front instead of Benteke. He's strong, holds the ball up well and would link the play, I reckon. Surely he'd have more to offer than Benteke who really is an utter joke imho? Why not?

Although good passer and holds ball up ,Not mobile enough and lacks pace , already have that up front

Sorloth. Problem is he needs a few games to get acclimatised, and we dont have a few games.

Mental. What just continue with the useless Belgian? I just dont get peoples reluctance to try something different. The guy is bloody horrific. Lets give ourselves a chance at least of staying up. If we keep allowing the chances to fall to Benteke we are finished. RLC, Zaha, Daly I dont care. Anyone but him.

Perhaps you should inform Roy of his loss of faculties then as, apart from possibly going two up front (depending on who's available), he will be starting with Benteke for the next six games.

Moving players from their established position and role rarely works, particularly in trying to play someone as an out and out striker for whom that isn't their normal position.

I remember Steven Gerrard being pushed up front on a couple of occasions. The logic was that he was a proven goal scorer and would be able to adapt to leading the line, but it didn't work.

totally agree.
The bloke been absolutely useless all season. The chances he has had, we should be around the 40 point mark. How much more time and chances are we going to give him. Against Liverpool we lost 3 points because he missed two sitters.
Anything at the moment has got to be an improvement. Put Tompkins up front! We can't wait any longer for his confidence to return otherwise we will be a Championship side!
6 games, 7 points, easiest run in, but we must score goals to get 7 points, Where are they coming from?
By the way, we should also substitute much earlier, not waiting for a player to be half dead and prone to injury before a substitution is made.

I think you have me confused with someone else Dave. I don’t have any communication with Roy i’m Just commenting on a palace supporters message board. Any comments I have made are my own opinion and with reference to other supporters. Maybe I should have made that clearer. Somehow.
