I've just seen that you can enjoy a 10oz sirloin steak and chips at the Hand And Flowers pub in Marlow for the bargain price of £87. It's a special piece of meat from one of just 1% of the top farms in the country. It comes with two onion rings, a few triple cooked chips and some bernaise sauce. Would you pay that much for a steak? Seems excessive to me, especially when you factor in a drink and maybe a pud plus the 'voluntary' 12.5% service charge. And this is a pub, obviously a very good one, but a pub nonetheless. All hail the Beefeater!
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

I think that’s a bit much for 10oz. I normally go to goodmans or hawksmoor in London and price would be 40-50 quid for an 18oz steak, then 5 quid for each of sides. Even then it wouldn’t be 87 quid!

I would rather get on the plane to Spain and chuck in a weeks holiday for a tad more. Reminds me of Micky Flanaghans opinion on the English countryside. Hates it, smells of shyt, locals have never talked to a Londoner, but didn"t mind the cream tea-fifty seven quid!

It isn't just a pub as it has two Michelin stars and is owned by Tom Kerridge. At that price I would hope that the onion rings are made from free range onions I must admit that some of the prices are a bit excessive including a selection of cheeses for £26

A man after my own heart. I also used to go to Gauchos but Goodmans is my favourite. All in my bill with drinks etc normally about £100.
