Yep, they'll survive. 2 points clear with Brentford, Forest and Sheffield United at home, plus Luton and Chelsea away for bonus points. Would expect Liverpool and Arsenal to beat them. I'd be really surprised if Everton don't finish above us now.

Really doesn't seem much of a deterrent does it? 6 points first overspend and then 2 every year after? Must have set a precedent. Once you've overspent the first season you may as well carry on doing so, as 2 point deduction is unlikely to hit anyone. If they want it to work it should have been double the punishment at least. May as well just scrap FFP. Personally, I don't agree with it, as its just a scheme for the big clubs to keep the status quo.

Agree your view that, in natural justice, penalties should rise with repeat offences, not fall to some "standard" rate. That said, I don't know the facts. There may have been evidence of Everton demonstrating a better understanding, doing more to mitigate, a clear pattern of better behaviour, a lesser infringement etc. I have no idea?

Just unleash the cash cow and let's see who the big dogs really are. Newcastle will just run away with it. First billion pound player here we come. Drop in the ocean for the Saudi PIF.

If the day ever comes that clubs like those owned by oil rich states find their funding unsustainable we will have much worse things to worry about

Plenty of rich people have companies go under.

It doesn't matter a jot that they have to play Arsenal and Liverpool. They have 2 more golden chances to win that don't include Forest at home where they will also be favourites. Meanwhile, we don't have a single fixture left that we are favourites for. Surely anyone would swap our fixtures for theirs in a heartbeat?

this morning : Everton could have pipped us, in the table, with a simple Draw. that has now become them needing a win. Everybody knows that wins are not easy to come by. A 0-0 wont be enough. Personally, i think Brentford will get above us. But 3 other teams will not all get above us. Feeling Glad all Over.
