We all know he’s not a prolific goalscorer but is in fact a useful squad player who won’t groan about being on the bench and create an atmosphere. He settled in well to the squad and it is a squad we need, not just a team of 11. Not exactly a thrilling signing but a safe bet at a good price.

£2.5mil for nothing from what people are saying. Can say it's a decent squad signing but there are free agents out there easier to sign.

Ayew and a third choice goalie. I really hope this is just some plumping of the squad with bigger things to come. Does make me feel agitated however

Ayew knows the squad, knows the system and certainly seemed to enjoy being at Palace, his emotional reaction to scoring at Wolves showed that. Would any free agents fit in as easily? I think it is good business

So with Ayew signing, Benteke playing out of his skin to get a better contract elsewhere and Wickham fit. We most likely won't sign another striker now? Obviously that's just a guess about Benteke but as he's out of contract I think he'll try really hard to have a good season and make more money wherever he signs next. j Aye and Henderson may not be the most exciting signings but could prove to be very useful and hopefully leave money for other more needed positions. Not overwhelmed but sure its all part of the master plan. In Roy we trust.
