A teenage crock? I tend to think it’s a youngster with an injury. We all had them. Very lucky if you escape them. Definitely doesn’t mean he’s got a life problem though

When you have the kind of money that changes hands in these deals, caution. Is totally expected. Sometimes you miss a bullet, but sometimes you miss a good deal.
Danny Gosling ,comes to mind,, still playing for Bournemouth, after failing a medical at Palace, years ago.
My feeling is, if we seriously wanted a fullback for this manager, then the deal should have been backed with a serious alternative.

West Brom have signed right back Lee Peltier, could be Furgusons replacement?

Deal is now off.

Well done Palace.

Not your money tho. It must be hard when seeking advice from medical professionals and they are expressing caution when potentially spending £5,000,000.

Ah at least Ward is fit

The concerning, but totally predictable thing, is that we apparently had no other options if this deal didn't work out. f***ing amateurs.

We went for Kyle Walker Peters too, but we didn’t have a third one it seems

If the guy needs knee surgery as has been suggested the deal was never going to happen even if was as good as Cafu.

thats what i cant work out; surely baggies wouldve known he would fail his medical?
WHY didnt we know about his injury before wasting our time bidding; season ending surgery couldnt have been hidden?

On balance I'm a little surprised that the transfer didn't go through.

I thought the whole point of Ferguson was that he was for the future and not necessarily a first team pick straight away.....I mean, his stats aren't as good as Ward's.

So perhaps the knee injury is quite serious.

Palace would have no doubt wanted a reshaping of the deal with less up front . The delay between a failed medical and the deals off would indicate this

That's a bit unfair we only had six months in which to scout a list of replacements.

One has to wonder what Dougie does all day long to earn his corn

I've heard that he has one of the most well scratched arses in the Premier League.

Perhaps its a cunning plan. Ferguson will have a knee op while being paid by West Brom. And by the time he recovers in the summer he'll be a free agent and we snap him up for nothing?? Or perhaps not !!

That's what my blind optimistic head is telling me!

You've got to laugh really (otherwise you'll cry). In the space of 24hrs a young RB who the day before plays 90mins fails his medical and then Conor Wickham passes his no problem! Vintage Palace.

Are we to presume that we have pulled out of a cheap deal for a highly rated teenage defender who has been playing for the team top of the championship at both rb and lb, also is tipped to become a cb, because he is not going to play more than 5 games this season and will undoubtedly be forced to retire and never play again soon due to a knee injury?

Just asking?

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
