With a number of other clubs bringing in players from abroad with not to much hassle , this deal does start to get worrying . It hasn’t gone quiet , it’s gone silent. The question being is it dead? In fact was it ever completely alive.? After all Downes was ours. Wasn’t he? . Pessimistic, maybe, but any problem must be significant. for it to go this quiet, even the click bait has stopped. Live in hopes though because we need the likes of Doucoure. And more.

Criteria for CD is no different to pre-Brexit. He is not a French citizen so would not have benefited from Freedom of Movement. As a Malian he requires a Visa , which he did pre-Brexit. Whatever the holdup it can’t be blamed on Brexit .

I think what has happened is that whoever is doing his visa resigned because of Boris, and as its Friday and i here the weather is good no point in coming in until Monday
