I agree that Speroni is a clear #2. What I think we should do is scour the academy / lower leagues for the best young goalie we can find. So instead of paying even 2 million for Adrian, get the youngster for less. Sign them up as the #3 and hopefully they will grow into a capable #2 next year (surely Speroni's last year?). Why do you need 3 premier league ready goalies, 2 should be enough. I can't remember having 3 before last year (who was #3 before Mandanda was brought in?).

You got to think the lack of urgency to get another goalie in. Suggests he must be happy with Hennessy and Speroni with a youth goalie as 3rd choice.

There's also less keepers in circulation for journos to churn out rumours from..and for us to actually be linked with! The quiet before the storm, I predict one more player by Saturday week, one by the Pool game and one more by the window end-hopefully for each of the aforementioned positions.
