He was the wrong man before being appointed, he is the wrong man now, and will be the wrong man in the future.

I cannot see us surviving, what makes it worse is Allardyce being in charge trying to get us back to the PL.

Why did they appoint him ?

I reckon the Americans got caught up in the headlights of having an ex-England manager in charge of Palace. I think Parish battled hard to keep hold of Pardew.

And shares much of the blame for our demise. If he'd had the foresight to sack his great mate last May, when our 2016 form told anyone with an ounce of common sense that the writing was clearly on the wall, we'd have been able to make a new appointment in the summer, who'd have had a transfer window and a pre-season to get things back on track.

Sam was the right man because we were 100% doomed with Pards. He saw our squad and thought this job should be easy and then when he arrived he found that he had a load of spineless wonders and towel throwers in the dressing room. I actually feel sorry for the bloke
