I'm not Paddy Power paying out early. I still reckon he'll be there and it's 3 months until they finish.

It's looking that way. Christ knows what Avon and Somerset police are taking all year about.

The Police can't even do this.....bunch of....'insert' not very nice stuff.

Besides Stokes, English cricket is full of overpaid 'stars' who don't delivery on anything like the money they are on.

Fifth placed test team in world cricket....Second highest paid.....Not happy.

I don't regard any of our cricketers as overpaid, not by the ECB anyway. Some of the franchise players might be but fair play to them, why should we care?

Is Australia, we're ranked 3rd. And I dare say the ECB has the 2nd highest income, after the BCCI.

That's embarrassing....must have missed the update. I definitely do consider us overpaid.

Stokes has flown out to New Zealand supposedly to spend time with his family but he's taken his cricket bag with him and the ECB have granted him a no objection certificate to play in New Zealand.

Hopefully this is to give him match practice prior to joining the Ashes squad

Looks like he's set to join Canterbury out there. Although I'm sure being only a 3 hour flight away still gives his hope he can come in on a white horse and rescue the series in maybe the 3rd test.

It's embarrassing that we are ranked higher than you thought. How so?

When footballers are so well paid they can give their match fees away to charity (even at a very young age), I don't agree that our cricketers are overpaid. When they play an away game, it's 2 months of your life, not 2 days.

Let's hope we don't need rescuing after only 2 tests! But it can't hurt to keep him local and in nick. No pun intended.

They've passed the file on to the CPS. Over two months just to do that!

I think that the policeman in charge of his case is probably Australian which is why they have dragged it out as long as possible
