Short term I think Cabaye and Bolassie would help us for the rest of the season.
Cabaye knows how Hodgson and the team works and gives us something different from the other midfielders we have.
We have required another wide option all season and Bolassie gives us this.
It may be that they would only contribute from the bench or for part of the games but if this helps us get through this season then we look at proper targets in the summer.

As we can only have 1 loan from Everton I would prefer it to be Tosun rather than Bolasie. Surely with Tosun, Benteke, Wickham and Ayew they should be able to cobble together enough goals to see us safe, you would like to think so anyway

Well it’s not going to Bolasie but instead Bakery Sako till end of season this then keeps open a domestic loan which will be Tosun from what I am being told.

Subject though to Everton signing a replacement even though with Henry being sacked Michy is now available again.

It’s going to be a busy few days but definitely expect a striker to be signed.

The key to these dealings is that it’s a very short term fix to cover the remaining games. We aren’t dishing out long term contracts (at least I hope not!) so we will be no worse off at the end of the season. This strategy allows us to keep our powder dry and offers a bit of experienced cover in key areas at minimum financial risk.

Totally agree,but it would appear that Steve's focus is simply to just keep us up by a whisker and he lacks any other ambitions,hence the recent disastrous windows apart from when Sam was allowed a say.
Steve now surrounds himself with yes men!!
