I don’t think so. My understanding is that people moving out of California are not doing so because of any kind of political beliefs but because the cost of living, especially housing, is so much cheaper elsewhere. After the pandemic many more are able to work remotely so more able to take advantage.

The reverse is true of Cornwall. The housing especially is cheaper here, as is the cost of services like builders and gardeners. So we have had quite a significant influx of remote workers. Not only those working from home. Back office departments have relocated here as have some high tech specialists who design and manufacture precision instruments.

My wife has an Aunt and Uncle who live in Oakland and about to retire. Their home is huge and far too big to manage without help, which has become expensive. They are complaining about the cost of living and actively thinking of moving. Florida being their preference. They have though thought about relocating here, to Cornwall, which they love but the requirements for US citizens makes that next to impossible.
