He is not a premier league player proved by his time with both us and Bouremouth.

Yes he had a delightful purple patch for us and will aleays be remembeted for that but that was then.

I think its a real shame that he got crocked as well in the play offs. I think he'd have had a good season or two in him, for us, in the top flight - and he'd earned it. I was so glad that when he went to Reading he came back and had a decent spell, but he was spent. Even scoring a few you could see his legs were gone, and when he went to Bournemouth, he wasn't able to get into their first team.

I'd love it if he came up with Brighton and got a season in the top flight as their main man, because he's Glenn Murray, and he's one of the main reasons we were promoted that season.

But he's yesterdays man. Part of me hopes he realises that, and signs a good deal with a championship club for next season and can get another great seasons for himself.

Unfortunately there isn't enough evidence to confirm nor deny your assumption. I have my doubts that either of them are better than Wickham, but he has been injured too much to really know that. And I don't know how fit he'll be if/when he ever returns.
