Can't blame CPFC2010 for cashing in when they had the opportunity, they had invested their own money, lived the dream of getting Palace to the prem & were probably financially unable as a consortium to really progress us much further.

But we've now got a chairman who's beholden to his major investors & who seem both insistent on making decisions & less clued up than SP.

That was all good. But that wasn't the problem. The problems were:

Not replacing Jedi. The Rincon interest but then deeming him not good enough to pay £1 mil more. Was he researched?

No back up to Souare and only 7 defenders in total plus Fryers.

Oh and Pardew making Tomkins and in particular Townsend absolutely awful.

It was all again things that should've been done in the summer but weren't, and we got away with it by addressing it in January, again.

The thing you don't appreciate or even understand is that some good business in a window doesn't make a good window or a squad equipped with the bare minimum. I doubt you'll ever get that, just as Parish doesn't.

In that window we spent £10 mil net and ended up spending more in January than we probably would've don in August. The only plus was that we ended up with Luca.
