I think that’s a bit too negative. There clearly is a plan to bring in talented younger players, especially if they’re Scottish! They’re trying to bring in Carrasco but might not succeed. Personally, I think at leatst tone more young fullback will come in by Friday pm. Is this being stupidly optimistic? Of course, but let’s see

Im just happy we didnt over pay on some player out of desperation.Ward wasnt doing too bad this season and will slot back in at RB till Ferguson is ready. Plenty of options now in defence with PVA back also.

from what ive read on SM Ferguson was always our 1st choice ( we were in for him in the summer); it looked like WBA werent going to play ball on a transfer which is why we went for KWP; as soon as it became know that WBA would do a deal in this window we switched to Ferguson, so reports that KWP turned us down are wide of the mark,we withdrew from that one!! All the reports that I read seemed to cover ever different eventuality from a loan to a loan with a buy option to a straight purchase and I'm not sure that anyone knew what was going on - including KW-P himself
