Labour will be revealing their detailed policies once the election has been called, not before. Squatting, dragging it out, no purpose, not going to work after 14 years. It didn't for Callaghan or Brown either, both, like Sunak, not elected by the voters at a GE anyway.

Don’t not vote badger. Yes; and that covers huge swathes of the youth vote. Don't march up and down the road with a placard and megaphone, if you don't back it up at the ballot box.

If you had been in a coma for the last 14 years and when you woke up were told that we now had the highest peacetime level of taxation, high corporation tax, massive public expenditure, massive government borrowing, record levels of immigration and ineffectual policing and men dressed as women preaching deviant propaganda to children in libraries... Which party would you think had been in power.

Well we are all up for a monkey extra in our pay and if we can get a flight plan going to Rwanda for illegals and there is proof its happening then it’s all to play for. I don’t think Rwanda will happen but if it did labour would stop it on day 1.

The views of Danny Kruger at a members event last October and of course provided the leftie-loving Guardian an opportunity to aim their fire at the Conservatives.

I am certainly not proud of the dastardly left-wing Human Rights lawyers and the ECHR who have continually thwarted our efforts to reduce the influx of illegal immigrants and as such have allowed the criminal gangs to continue to prosper and put lives at risk. Furthermore I am not proud of the 'Junior Doctors' for their totally unreasonable demands and strike action which could result in excess deaths. In the final analysis I am on the Right of the party, a 'Spartan', and a proud admirer of Margaret Thatcher. Time for some sustenance, I am feeling a tad malnourished ! Edited by Willo (04 Jan 2024 2.14pm) Those lawyers are merely doing their job applying the law as it stands. And they will be doing so on an average salary of about £35k each. Your beloved Tories have been in power for 14 years, the latter of which have been out of the EU. They have had every chance to change the law and apply the necessary resources to "thwart" the influx of illegal immigrants and simply their return to wherever but have not done so. Many folk, including posters on here, are blue to the core but are more than aware of that and will not vote Tory in the next election because of that abject failure. You have adopted a different approach which is the desperate but disingenuous deflection onto the legal profession and Europe advocated by the Tory press. The motto to take from this is: because the Express says something, it doesn't make it so.

I don’t think Rwanda will happen but if it did labour would stop it on day 1. I honestly don't think they would. If the Tories bucked the trend of the last 14 years and actually put through properly stress tested and effective legislation then enabled deportation to Rwanda before the election (they won't) Labour would be insane to reverse it. With all their wokery, they have been around for 124 years and have held office for 33 of the last 100 years. They are not new to politics. They can see the demographic stats and the population ageing and veering to the right. They know that they will win if a chunk of those voters either stay at home or vote "Not Tory". If said voters suspect Labour would reverse the law, those voters may hold their nose, turn up and stick with their natural inclination. Moreover, given the issues with putting the law in, Labour would then poison their first year or so with a divisive law that will face the same political hurdles now present to put the bloomin law in. All academic, of course, as there will be no law in place to reverse.

I am just disappointed that we have not withdrawn from the ECHR. Edited by Willo (08 Jan 2024 11.31am)

You know, I make jokes about party loyal supporters voting for a pig with a blue rosette or a flat cap sporting a red one, but...
