It seems we are still trying to make a deal happen. Its certainly a drawn out deal though. People say its a lot of money, club have to make sure its the right deal, blah, blah. And while that's true, bigger name players have moved from one club to another with a faction of the time and at a bigger cost.
Its frustrating that whenever Palace make a big signing (or try to) it just goes on and on. I can go back as far as Lombardo to the deals Palace have taken an age to complete.
At this rate Benteke will be out of contract by the time we sign him! Maybe that's the plan!

I can't blame Parish & Co for being patient. Every week Pool have to pay his wages so it's costing THEM not US the longer it drags on. TBH I don't think we'll be in the relegation mix with the current squad. And we'll still have our money to spend if needs be. So, let Pool drag it out if they want to. He isn't worth 33m. They'll have to get over it.

Would entirely agree had we not released two strikers and sold the other.

Relying on Wickham alone would be a huge risk and in view of the huge tv money available this year, feel we should expedite the deal,if he really is AP's preferred target.

We know we need to start the season well considering the fixtures at the end of season, all this waiting for Liverpool to buckle is joke. We the ones with only one capable striker in wickham, who proved last season how injury prone he could be. Liverpool hold all the cards not us.

Well all the reports coming out in the last few hours suggest it's still on on, with the sticking point being Liverpool wanting the full 32.5 mill they paid for him (which is stupid but entirely there porogitive to get as much as they can)
All down to negotiation now.

Just not true.And as for Lombardo we should of given Hopkins the money.Its in your imagination.

We all know what will happen it will get to within 48 hours of deadline day and we will panic and sign Emile Heskey on a 6 month contract.
