Let me ask you a serious question. Please put aside for the moment whether you voted to Leave or Remain.

If it is shown to be true that our own intelligence services found that the 2016 referendum was so compromised by foreign interference that it's result should be set aside then do you agree that it ought to be taken seriously and acted upon?

Just imagine that they had discovered that Germany and France had interfered and the result had been a 52%:48% result in favour of Remain. Would Farage and all the ultra Brexiteers be sitting quietly and saying "it doesn't matter, it was the will of the people"?

If there was interference in 2016 you can be sure that there will be again now. Trump has even done it openly.

This isn't a question of tribal politics. This is about democracy itself and we ought all be concerned about that whatever our personal beliefs.

Once again you demonstrate that you are uncomfortable with the truth and want to see political shenanigans in everything. Sometimes what you see is actually the simple truth. A Parliamentary committee has an important report which the public need to read before the election. The government appear to be blocking its publication. We need to know why and then to see the report.

I suspect the hatred toward politicians has been ramping up for some time. The almost total detestation of Margaret Thatcher in Scotland is something to see.
I think politicians have been found out in the era of social media; the more people see of them the less they like.

It is, allegedly, being sat on by a rather plump behind with a muffin top and a blonde straw thatched roof. Usually these reports are processed to be made available after 10 days. In this case it’s been 2 weeks, so there is most certainly a bit of game playing going on, as you’d expect. Nothing too dramatic really.

Personally I doubt it’s that explosive, all Boris and the blue gimps are doing is preventing the left wing / centrist media getting hold of it so they can trump (sorry for the swear word) it up as much as possible to damage the tories.

Russia probably had a go and produced a load of boomer ads that didn’t really get very far. However what I would say is don’t expect this to be the last attempt they make, or that they won’t learn each time they attempt it. Dismissing this as fantasy is in itself idiotic if you have even a tiny awareness of how much inter state hacking occurs on a daily basis. Ergo if you do dismiss it as a concept, you’re an idiot and you deserve the 21st century to swallow you whole. Well not even deserve, it just will. The irony of that is massive considering how many of you thump away on your keyboards 24/7.

Frankly these days I doubt it would even make that much difference if the report had some validity, as most people are unable to see the truth even if it’s slapped round their face like a festering trout. Truth has become what you think or believe. Not what is actually true. If it doesn’t align with your own view, it’s false. Got to love technology. Not all doom and gloom though.
