Not sure what you mean by that's not the way transfers are done, no one knows what the terms that are agreed are - one may well be that Sunderland have to sign a replacement first.

Transfer fees as I understand rarely get paid in one lump sum, they're paid in installments over a period of time. Transfers are completed in whatever terms the clubs see fit, if Sunderland want another player in before they sell then they won't let him go, it's as simple as that.

I think youre right Dave, and Palace have been linked with targets in all those categories. PVA looks like he is nearly there so lets hope a couple more sign by Tuesday
