Whether intentional or accidental I don’t think there is any doubt China is responsible in some way for this virus. Unless of course, the labs don’t exist in Wuhan and they never had markets selling live wild animals for food. Only my opinion as ok now certain posters will disagree

Considering the fact I kept hearing about how the UK would be basket case disaster after withdrawing from the EU. They dont half seem worried about us being a competitor. Frost just needs to hold firm especially in a post covid world are really cant see the EU member states being happy with a cut off there nose strategy. The EU is doomed to fail if they do that they would make loads of the Mediterranean countries and even Germany poorer in the name if their hellbent ideology. Cant see it happening a deal in our terms will be agreed.

There are plenty of armchair extremists of all stripes. From those hanging off a radical preacher's every word, to the racially short circuited kowtowing to neo nazi types. All dim enough to be dragged down naive and dangerous ideological dead ends but too cowardly and pathetic to do anything about it for the most part. Thankfully. Our security services do an exemplary and unsung job of both sniffing these miscreants out when they cross the line. There's definitely though, as you suggest, an argument to be made that people do things in the name of religion that they would rarely do otherwise; a point Hitchens would often make. And depending on the age you live in, not all religions are created equal. For most governments cheap labour trumps almost any other consideration.

As for the Hongkongese, some I've known have an appreciation of our country than many here don't even have anymore.. the government may well do their bit if things get nasty.

I hope so as long as the UK decides who can fish in our waters.

I am fine with the EU having annual quota rights but they need to be based on the difference between what the UK fleet can supply and the maximum quota allocation. If there is any spare capacity that is what should be available to the EU.

france will accept what we give them if we go WTO they wont be allowed in our waters at all so have that frenchies.

Anyone else getting the impression that a strong factor in the media and political war against Cummings on ridiculously over hyped criticisms is all in the hope of removing him so that they can push through a Brexit extension?

With an extension the civil service can work to make Brexit so soft that it's only in name and still contains free movement.

The liberal establishment haven't given up and they know that removing Cummings is their best hope.
