Buying into the wrong propaganda? As opposed to yours you mean? You’re right. I never looked at it that way. What an epiphany.

No, you’re right mate. We just lap it all up forever.

Or we could just wait for the EU to fall apart. Even Paul mason thinks it’s doomed, and he’s only just right of John McDonnell.

...and when it does (note: when not if) it will cost us nothing if we are not a member, as opposed to bearing our usual heavy share of costs involved in the breakdown if we were still in.

p.s. Has anyone heard yet if we get our billions back from the European Central Bank when we leave?

That the fact the EU wants to make it difficult to leave is an example of why people voted to leave. As previously mentioned when we joined the Common Market there were 6 members; now there are nearly 30. This is not the same entity that we joined.

Dont agree. The EUs goals and motivation towards a member state are entirely different to those towards one trying to leave.

EU members have to vote to allow new members.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

So what is their motivation towards one trying to leave?

You sound like an old girlfriend of mine now, Hrolf. Oo er, domination.

Joking aside, 'cowardly' logic, is still logic.

However I dont think its "cowardly" to point out something as plain as the nose on your face.

People who thought the EU would roll over and make this a piece of piss, are simply dumb.

I'm not sure why you think they did.

I'm also not sure why you don't understand that being committed to a position requires a bit of backbone and patience.

Not sure how many times I need to say the same thing.

1 - Make it hard, to deter others.
2 - Make it not immediately successful economically for the leaver, to deter others.

Because some here are criticizing the EU for "bullying" us.

David Davis said we would have a trade deal the next morning, so he is one who thought so.

Many, many people probably believed David Davis, as how would they know better.

Know some do know better = new vote required.

If the EU had been a bit more flexible and thrown Cameron a bone we wouldn't been in this mess. It's the EU's intransigence that is the problem. They never thought we would vote leave so didn't bother to offer concessions. Now they find that if they do other countries will want the same.

Yeah because people aren’t happy with it. Funny old game, their manipulation of other countries.

Not enemy. We’re just way down in their concerns and priority list, and I’m not surprised. Shame we couldn’t agree with Hitler to let them have Central Europe and that’s that. There’d be none of these arrogant French and Belgians with even a metric gram of importance.

Yes. Even I can grasp that but I still don’t get how the threat of it being hard to leave can lead to a harmonious relationship.
Algeria and Greenland both previously left but presumably their contributions weren’t as valuable as ours.

Why do you think we’re all spun by the media, when everything you post is soundbytes straight out of the guardian or whatever Shyte Owen Jones probably tweets to you?

How very European. Should’ve done a deal with Hitler and a warning from America.
