We were told by Remainers that the referendum didn't count and that Parliament should have the final decision. Well Parliament has failed miserably to come up with a plan a majority can agree to.

So how about agreeing to the decision that 17.4m made which is to leave, if they can't agree a deal then its no deal.

I smell a big betrayal around the corner.

Oh definitely.....just common sense really but they couldn't even vote for that.

Computer says no.
Parliament says no.

If Brexit were a football match we would have picked up the ball and sulked off at half time.

For my money its all talk.

Only a small minority want a no deal brexit. Parliament wont sanction it.

Tusk indicated a long extension was doable, if a new way forward is planned - such as a general election or second referendum.

Smart money at this stage is on a long extension and us putting candidates forward for the European elections.

Crazy times.

The idea that we could have a second referendum because Parliament can't decide on how we exit is ludicrous.

It is simply a case of a section of Parliament refusing to honour a promise to accept the result of the referendum.

Blimey....It's DanH.

Haven't seen you about much but welcome, these are probably some of the most important political events in our lifetimes so the more of us waffling about it the merrier.

This thread must have beaten the record anyway.

Sorry to say Hrolf but that is a terribly simplistic overview of the situation.

Leave means Leave is a fallacy.

How we leave, the way in which we leave, the circumstances of the leaving are seriously important, seriously different from one another, and seriously divisive. They also have enormous consequences for the future of the country.

Its as simple as that really.

Wise words from this 111 year old man. However didn't Cameron try and negotiate from the inside?

See ALL MP's have failed the British Public(yet again)

I hope they continue to act treasonous & disagree on everything till the 12th of April, coz then we LEAVE automatically.

I seriously don't give a flying fcuk who this upsets, OUT means OUT(by constitutional law) LEAVE means LEAVE

I agree with all of this,May may as well turn off the lights in Downing street and leave quietly.

General election is surely just around the corner.

Cant see her going before the 12th April now...she'll want to ensure we're out before then falling on her sword (for the 4th time as she keeps missing)

"She fell on her sword, and missed" is one of the finest quotes of the entire brexit process.

It really is all about who the Tories choose.

May is the most ineffective leader out there and Labour still are neck and neck in the polls with her.

that is the embarrassing truth. Can't see Boris getting it...Dominic Rabb perhaps

Rees-Mogg voted for it after saying 2 days ago he would be led by the DUP and wouldn't abandon them.

Absolute weasel.

Gove is more likely, or Javid or maybe Hunt.

May has ballsed up every single step of this thing. I still think she might come out as a double agent, Snape style, in years to come as she seems hell bent on not getting her deal or herself actually popular enough to curry favour.

It almost seems deliberate, that is how ill conceived and poorly executed her entire strategy has been.

Agree with a large part of this...for May it was all about HER nothing or no one else! From the snap election onwards..
