Are we set for a Dazzaling display this week, or are we going to start the season yet again without having bought a new striker. The one position we were desperate for a player (with Wilf not currently gone) and yet again we appear to have missed targets. Still, here's hoping one day it might happen!

Are we set for a Dazzaling display this week, or are we going to start the season yet again without having bought a new striker.

The one position we were desperate for a player (with Wilf not currently gone) and yet again we appear to have missed targets. Still, here's hoping one day it might happen!

Why can't we loan Bats and then buy Gallagher, with Chelsea having first dibs to buy him back if they choose to do so? I think they had a similar arrangement in place with Bournemouth for Nathan Ake. Gets around the 2 player / 1 club loan rule. In fairness Chelsea will never need him give their ability to bring in big name players.

Our problem when looking to sign a forward (it remains to be seen whether Bats arrives or not) is that we still have Benteke and Wickham. I know it a costly exercise letting these guys go but we extended their contracts when the pair of them are absolutely useless. Poor decision making by the higher ups in the hope of getting money back when the reality is that you couldn't give either of them away - particularly Wickham. In an ideal world Bats will come and Benteke will go but I am not holding my breath.
