Back in the 1980's (USA) there were a series of high profile sex abuse cases which later collapsed. The victims had recently discovered they were abused during memory recovery therapy using hypnosis. This treatment was discredited, in some cases the therapists were planting false memories and muddling the memory pool by asking leading questions which led to the false memories. In other words they were incompetent rather than malicious. What has this to do with Christine Blasey Ford. Well 2 interesting facts about her: 1. CBF only disclosed about her abuse a couple of years ago in therapy. We don't know what type of therapy she underwent. 2. CBF co wrote a published paper about the benefits of recovered memory therapy (sorry I don't have a link). Speculation: I wonder if these 2 things are related. One more point

Apparently if someone comes across as convincing then you believe them.

You know...that's how religion starts.

People are prepared to believe what they want to believe despite any established evidence....if you can be plausible.....in other words, there is one born every minute.

Very interesting viewpoint. I didn't agree with everything the commentator said about Paolo Alto university she was very sneering that it is a pro feminist college(I would day to a man if you don't like it other colleges are available). However her key points about the politics and lack of evidence were fair.

I am sure the feminists on here can answer your question much better than I can. No doubt they will identify male dominated anti women colleges although you and I would probably disagree with them.

Anyway I was simply making the point about free speech. I would not want to go to that college and I think many of their views are ridiculous but if they want an education in an echo chamber at a private university so be it.
