This mantra that Hennessy "lets in" goals is crap. For example did De Gea "let in" Bournemouth's goal or closer to home a goal keeper Ben Foster, who some say we need one like him "let in" two goals. Or maybe Zaha and Townsend's goals were unstoppable.

Personally I would say that in both above cases the goalkeeper is not to blame, unless his name is Hennessy of course who should be stopping every shot and keeping clean sheets every week.

I think big Wayne is so good I could see him becoming a regular first choice keeper for one of the worlds top 15 national teams &#128516;

1. Quite rightly, but then again he wasn't up against much. Was 3 years ago though. I'll for for John Jackson if we're going back through time.

Over the last year, all our players have made significant mistakes. It's just because the goalie is the last man, he ultimately gets blamed for goals against.

Now is the time to consolidate behind the team, and whoever is selected on the teamsheet.

I was talking about your Wayne NOT John Jackson so stop trying to twist it as you always do. Jules has more on his CV than Wayne will ever have...FACT!

 

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

How can he beat speroni record, if your wanting him out.
We can all make stats that suit players. Like Hennessy played in the fa cup final. Most clean sheets this season by a cpfc goalie. There irrelevant Sam choose Hennessy, I'm willing to back him decision especially with more cover at the back than normal. I loved speroni but his time is up . Players have there sell by dates. Look at Steven gerrard, Rooney. Time catches up with them. Not the players they were 3 or 4 years ago.

Fact? No, opinion. You may well be right in time but it clearly isn't a fact.

JS played about 80 PL games; WH already has about 130. That's a CV fact.

How many games has Jules played for the club....and which goalkeeper holds the record for most games played in the clubs history ???????????????????

I don't like this talk on here about Wayne. Yes he lacks confidence and I'm sure that this is being addressed by the current coaching staff. As has been said already he is poor in commanding his area, but I've witnessed Delaney in particular not helping him to grow into the position by encouraging him, rather giving him the evil eye and remostrating when he gets it wrong. Thats not to say that I believe he should be mothered, far from it, but he needs to feel that we are willing him to improve rather than this constant talk of how aweful he is.
Speroni is past it now and I don't believe Mandanda is any better, in fact his punching away all the time didn't give me any confidence in him at all.

For the record the best goalkeeper in my opinion has been Roy Bailey and John Jackson.
