Lanzini made a big difference when he came on, putting them more on the front foot. Shocking decision from the ref almost cost us, but most would have taken a point at the start of the match.

Shame we didn’t sign Bowen, he has electric pace and made our left side look pedestrian,

Can understand why Roy took Eze off, as Ayew is willing to run around and challenge defensively too and being down to 10 limited the options.

Not sure what others think but Eze and Zaha played a bit too close to one another tonight. Not sure if that was a deliberate ploy but they often got in each other’s way. Didn’t quite come off for them like it did against Spurs.

Ayew or Bats to start against Liverpool???

Played some great stuff in the first half with some excellent individual performances.
Just a pity we couldn’t get a deserved second goal.
Benteke’s sending off changed the game and it’s a concern in the modern game played without contact that his jumping style will attract cards.

To jump high and head the ball without raising your arms is impossible, he wasn’t leading with a bent elbow so not sure what the yellow cards were for. That ref thought he was the dogs bollocks tonight!

I think Zaha needs to move the ball quicker. A slick pass Ian’s cut out the show boating

Such a shame because Benteke would've really wanted to have a go at the team who threw him out in the form he's in at the moment, really really shocking refereeing tonight, in the first half we should have scored twice but that's football. I thought we made West Ham look very average in that second half and even worse in the first. We don't defend balls into our box very well at all though which is a worry ..especially with the next team coming up.

All's well that ends well.

Despite some weird subs by Hodgson and the ref. not with us. Zaha asks for it by continually moaning and holding on to the ball for too long.

Assume Benteke banned for one match as not a straight red?

I really think our (so called) captain has seen better days, he couldn't buy a pass tonight and got his customary yellow. Always on tenderhooks he will get another and Kouyate sometimes undisciplined but pretty fair tonight.

Pity we couldn't sign Bowen but at least we got Eze ahead of West Ham.

Not saying Milo was great but he took his booking for the team.

Unlike some on here, who think we should win every match 5 nil, I thought overall we played well.

Well done Roy.

Now watching through Sky Q app and the difference is amazing.

Well what a dick I am.....just had a look on Sky Q and i do have it....well that's new....and good news....they haven't exactly advertised the fact

That’s a good point actually.

It is indeed a very good point. Will be interesting to see if Kane remains un-penalised after what has happened to Christian this evening.

Thought we played really well tonight and West Ham and their twelfth man deserved nothing.

I also think every one of the team played well and don't deserve any criticism. Roy's subs both did well especially Schlupp who held the ball up well at the end.

Thought Roy showed admirable restraint after the game. Some managers would’ve made a meal of it. Benteke was very unlucky - if this nonsense goes on football shirts will need a pouch in the front to put your hands in.

Excellent performance. We are beginning to look very very good. No one will want to play us,

Not a chance of us getting relegated. We will be pushing further up the table.

Unbelievably harsh Benteke get sent off but at least it’s only 1 game and he will be back.
