The problem is that if a teacher is caught at an Far Right demonstration the left would be screaming for them to be sacked. It doesn't seem to apply the other way around though. On balance I think she had to go it wasn't going on the march but her appalling and aggressive behaviour and she was stupid enough to get caught on camera the biggest crime of all. Oh and she had a very odd social media page which the media have trawled through. I hope she isn't out of work for long and realises her foolishness. Edited by Badger11 (07 Jun 2019 9.07am) I hope she is out of work for a long time and reflects how wrong she is, she has no sympathy for centre right people she classes as nazi's

Edited by Badger11 (07 Jun 2019 9.07am) I feel quite conflicted over this. I don’t like the idea of someone losing a job but there should be some consequences.

It's funny that most private companies have policies about employee involvement in politics as they are terrified as being seen as politically bias. Meanwhile in the public sector its perfectly normal for staff to be involved. My guess is that someone told her to resign rather than face the sack.

To be fair, the article says she quit her job (not sacked). Again, these abusive, violent protesters all seem to come from the same side of politics. You have grown adults screaming into people's faces. What is wrong with these people? Edited by Penge Eagle (07 Jun 2019 11.30am) This is all about their own issues. Most of these people secretly hate themselves.

The intelligent ones just believe in a worldview that I don't agree with but are prepared to protest peacefully. Those are the ones worthy of some respect.

And I guess if you swap the 'Nazis' part with... circle where appropriate 'lefties', 'hippies', 'Communists' etc you'll have summed up the other side too. Very succinct, nice work.

I don't think the issue is with name calling itself – but disingenuously getting the names totally wrong. We don't have any Nazi politicians in the UK, while there are open Marxists in the Labour party.

I guess if I was to put it on a spectrum though the flipside of an open Marxist would be a rampant capitalist. And there could well be a few UK politicians fitting that title.

So I'm struggling to see your point.

I think extremists are fairly similar on all sides. The difference being that Leftist extremism has somehow become acceptable. I blame Hitler.
