As a generalization the elderly will vote Tory regardless because they remember the seventies and secondly because they instinctively don't like people who stood up for the IRA when they were murdering our soldiers....and basically promoted any anti western movement out there. Corbyn has no chance in hell with the elderly and he knows it.

The tories are beyond the pale. Elderly will have to pay for their own social care - tory manifesto. Explain exactly what you mean by that?

Just watch Jeremy Hunt on the BBC. Awful interview not in the Diane Abbott mouldy but pretty shocking none the less.

How standards have dropped in politics and at a time when there are so many more ways to look like a tit.

They've also over the past however long made many miscalculations in interviews and got the figures completely wrong but no one seems to pick up on it. Whether you believe in media bias or not I think it's a fact that the tories never face nearly the same scrutiny on economic policies as labour and people generally just assume that with the economy they always have it under control. Taking a look at the national debt, id suggest the opposite has occurred.

Hmm many do including the UK until Blair separated the BoE from the State. Metaphorically, they can still print money through policies like QE. Actually the government does own the printing press. This is evidenced by the governments accounts where they cancel government debt held by the BoE. The UBO of both the government and the BoE is the state.
