I don't think it would have made a difference to the result, but I do think Allardyce made a mistake not starting Delaney. Bit of a mad attempt to make the most of our personnel that made things even worse.

Probably if no other centre back is fit next week we'll need him against Hull, one more injury in that department and we could be goosed.

Didn't expect a result here. Never have even before Chelsea and pool on the road. Its games like Burnley Sunderland and possibly hull next week which hurt and anger you when you lose. Not bothered today as it's not a surprise.

I'm guessing he was being saved for the Hull game, if he got injured today we'd have been right in trouble for next week. Still 4 minutes to go and he's on so praying he or no one gets injured.
