Lots of guesswork and sensationalism at the moment. It may well be counter productive when it comes to the Public Enquiry

Ahhh, yes, it probably will be, after a few brown envelopes have changed hands, but thats ok, just businessmen doing business, just business!

Nobody even knows how the fire started in the first place. Let's at least establish that before jumping to conclusions. Too much blame is being thrown about in all sorts of directions, none of which can be justified until the real cause becomes known.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

In some respects yes, but however it started it should not have been that devastating. You don't need an inquiry to work that out.

Yes and some heads should roll. We just don't know which heads yet.

It's clearly going to be because of the cladding and whatever it is that wasn't there to stop it spreading from floor to floor inside.

The issue with the cladding is it's legal in the uk even though it's known to be more flammable and definitely not heat resistant. Interestingly it isn't legal in the US.

But you do need an inquiry to work out why. There were reports that there was an explosion just before it started (speculation that it was a fridge, although how anybody could know that, I don't know). It can't be ruled out that this explosion was such that it quickly set fire to a large section of the building, and that's something very few tower blocks could withstand.

Until the cause is established, further speculation and blaming is pointless, let alone the sheep-like cries of "blame the Tories" etc etc.

On the 4th floor? In a properly protected building the fire brigade would've arrived to a fire contained to 1-3 floors, not the majority of the building ablaze with no way of getting it under control.

It's plainly obvious it spread so easily outside because of cladding and inside because of lack of containing material.

What is of further concern is the the fire brigade hoses can only reach so high. So what happens when a fire starts higher?

Establishing cause is fair enough but it's there's gross negligence somewhere.
