..exactly right.

You are comparing a right winger with a centre forward?

Performance level we are talking about season in season out and overall effectiveness. Wilf is half way there.

I dunno. I think he is actually better than Oxlade-Chamberlain so would get his chances. Tottenham is the obvious place for him really. New stadium etc. If he can't raise it that one extra notch with them then that's it really. He will be remembered as someone who didn't quite do it on the big stage.

Like John Barnes' England performances.

..we are not comparing him as a centre forward, we are comparing him as good enough to have played alongside Mr Ian Wright at arsenal and saying that he is not anywhere near that yet.

Arsenal wouldn't buy oxlade chamberlain as he is now, although he can cover full back aswell. Tottenham don't really play with wingers( why they sold Townsend), play with wing backs.
I like Zaha , but people are talking like he's too good for us ,he isn't.

I like Zaha but he's not consistant enough for the top 6, so who's going to buy him? Stoke, Everton ?
He's a decent player for us , has been very good last few games , but not head and shoulders above the rest.

Interesting use of quote marks. Inaccurate as either a quote OR what I actually said or meant. I said he's right up there with Wrightie and he is. NOT better.

Standard now is far above when Wright played. Wilf is on fire this season and so consistent. He is scoring or making almost every week and -- relative to the division -- we aren't as good as that Palace team.

And which team? Spurs. They'll offer us Son and a few bob is my hunch. He is easy good enough for their 1st team and would add so much there with his pace. They lack pace and natural width.

I think many of the top sides will show an interest. Wouldn't be surprised to see some European interest either.

Time will tell won't it?

By the way...don't be rude, telling me to have a lie down.

I agree but he does have some cack in the team alongside him to put up with. Plus there is room for improvement which he isn't going to find at our club.

I would leave if I were him. He's rich now anyway. Even if he doesn't do it for a bigger club at least he can say he can tried whilst counting the even more ££££££££££

Is it? I don't think it is. Prem quality has gone right down in the last ten years definitely. Crappy teams stay up and most of the big teams from 10-12 years ago would beat their own counterparts today for sure.

Maybe Wright's time at Arsenal the quality wasn't quite as good as 2005-ish but wouldn't be so different to now.

Gotta remember he looks good because of the dross around him. He wouldn't stand out in a much better team than us.

Fair enough thought you said he was better than Wrighty (not Wrightie)
No way will spurs offer us Son plus money. He's not considered to be one of England best 25 players , all of spurs Englishmen , that play, start for England.
I'll let the mods decide whether I'm being out of order, or not.
